                  make a connecting flight

             연결 편으로 갈아타다.

직항 편(nonstop flight, direct flight)이 없거나 가격 때문에 경유해서 비행기를 탈 때 중간

에 다른 도시에 기착하게(make a stopover)되는데, 이때 갈아타는 다른 비행기, 즉 연결 편 항공기를 ‘connecting flight'라고 한다. ’연결 편을 타다‘라고 표현 할 때는 ’make a connecting flight'라고 한다.

A : I missed the announcement. Did they say something about the connecting flight?

B : She just said we're going to be arriving in Seattle about twenty minutes late.

A :　Oh, that's Ok. I have a two-hour-long layover. I still have a lot of time to

make my connecting flight.

A : 저는 안내 방송을 못 들었어요. 연결 편 항공에 관한 것이 있었나요?

B : 시에틀에 대략 20분 쯤 늦게 도착 할 거라고만 했어요.

A : 아, 그럼 괜찮아요. 난 내려서 공항에서 2시간이나 기다려야 하거든요.
